Public land BBD
« on: October 17, 2019, 07:18:23 PM »
Took my son back to some state ground I hunted as a kid 25 years ago with my dad.
He had the buck in his sights at a hundred yards for about 10 min. One might ask why didn’t you shoot it?  Problem was he was 50 yards on the private land side of the fence by the time we were able to close the distance. Eventually it walked off and then it got shot at several times. They missed and we watched the buck feed up until nightfall. The next day we spotted what appeared to be the buck again but again he stayed on the wrong side of the fence. Finally after it survived another 5 rounds from the other hunters it finally got pushed back over to our side and he made one shot at 100 yards to put him down. I was so happy for him and that he got another chance at him.
